Long time no see

Well I guess it has been 8 months since I've last made a post. I took most of the winter off of handicapping and a chunk of the spring, it was a busy time for me. Since I've been gone so much has happened, Will Take Charge finished off his miraculous Eclipse award winning, 2 year old season with a good second place finish in the Breeders Cup Classic, California Chrome came one race away from winning the triple crown, Palace Malice has further cemented his amazing abilities with his win in the MET Mile, trainer Steve Asmussen again came under fire for drug abuse, and this time also by PETA, as well as assistant trainer Scott Blasi. So far this year we've yet to see champion filly She's a Tiger return to form, let alone even make more than one start, Will Take Charge hasn't been able to find his winning ways, Palace Malice is the only of the three 2013 Triple crown race winners still running, and Breeders Cup Classic winner Mucho Macho Man has been off for three months and hasn't accomplished anything spectacular since the year turned over. Instead we're seeing a rags-to-riches year, where a horse that cost all of ten thousand dollars in California Chrome wins both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, Moonshine Mullin a forty-thousand dollar claimer six races previous won the Stephan H Foster among the other four races he won on that sreak of his, Untapable proved she was destined to be a champion filly with wins in the Rachel Alexandra, Fair Ground Oaks, and Kentucky Oaks. As you probably already know these are just some of the good stories that have rolled around this season. I look forward to an awesome summer with you guys and hope for more of the same or better from these awesome horses.

I've gotten back into form lately, on Sunday I was 17-26 betting wise and up more than 100 dollars, and up 120 dollars for the weekend, so I've decided to make a return to the blogging world. If you could spread this around on your twitter pages that'd be great I'd love to gain a few new followers, and in the process try and help you all make some money while enjoying the great sport that is horse racing.

So I'll get started with the Wednesday cards at Woodbine, and Belmont.

Best bang for your buck

Woodbine Race 7, #7 Unleash the Talent is on a two win streak and although it will eventually come to an end, he's dropping in class here, 15-1 on him would be hard to pass up and he should be able to get the job done.

Best Bet

My exactor in Woodbine races two and six are my best bets.

Race 2

#2 Maythefourthbwithu always seems to be around the money, 6-2-0-2 lifetime, both her wins coming at this distance. I wouldn't take her on her own with a 9-5 ML, but I like her in multiple race bets and my exactor.

#1 Refreshingmemories is another horse who always seems to be near the money, 10-2-4-1 lifetime, 7-2-3-1 at the distance, my exactor in the race is pretty chalky however I wouldn't go any deeper. Box the two horses for two dollars and you should come out a winner.

Race 6

#3 Huronia is a pretty talented horse, you can excuse the race two back she clearly didn't take to the turf well, and besides that race she has never missed the board, she is 1 for 1 at the distance and should easily take this field home.

#1 Be Mind Phil and 1a X Squared are a pretty talented duo coming out of the Robert Tiller barn, he always has his horses ready and based on their PP's Be Mind Phil is the more likely of the two to finish top three, you can excuse his most recent, another who didn't handle the turf on this particular occasion, he's not bad on the turf but he isn't the winning type on the surface. He has hit the board each time at the distance and can do it here. X Squared hasn't gone this distance since last November where he evened out mid stretch and ended up getting beaten six and a quarter lengths. However last time out he finished third behind Huronia and a nice Aljabr filly named Mon Ami Gaby. Don't rule him out he could also get the job done here.

If you want to go deeper #5 Peggy'sanexecutive has been good at Woodbine 9-1-3-2 lifetime,  shes 1-0-1-0 at the distance and is coming off a good show finish where she closed well late from second last to hit the board at odds of 21-1 and will likely have a similar performance in this race.

Thanks for reading folks , and good luck.
